Welcome to the b&b and private dining experience that every vegan, vegetarian, raw and special diet foodist and green traveler has dreamt of finding in Paris!
Our vegan b&b, opened in July 2009, has been set up and is run according to ecologically-friendly and people-friendly principles using entirely cruelty-free products and materials …… all of which go to making your trip to Paris a more conscious and enjoyable experience……
The central location, on a lovely street just minutes by foot from the Champs-Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe, is near major sites such as the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower , Trocadero and also the famous Bois de Boulogne park of Paris.
The apartment is located in a building from the Art Deco period and is decorated in a colorful and serene contemporary style.
Our b&b has recently expanded to respond to the amazing demand for vegan and special dietary accomodation. We now offer in addition to the original one double bedroom b&b,( available with a queen-size or twin beds and private bathroom) , a beautifully decorated two-bedroom b&b next door that can be booked in various fashions; it can be booked as a traditional b&b or be entirely privatized for two to five guests travelling together and wanting full use of the kitchen and living room while still being served a gourmet breakfast and having housekeeping taken care of. Both b&bs use vegan and mostly organic bedding, towels, toiletries and cleaning products.
The generous, gourmet breakfasts and optional dinners, during which you can meet other like-minded visitors to Paris, are 100% vegan, organic and seasonal.
Perhaps most importantly, our warm welcome is sincere and attentive like that one would hope to find from old friends
The owners and hosts , Deborah, Caroline and Alexandre Brown-Pivain, are members of an enthusiastically vegan, franco-american family. They are each passionate about gourmet Vegan cuisine, protecting and improving the Environment and promoting Animal Rights. All take great pleasure helping visitors to Paris have the best time possible (and a well-fed one at that!).
Deborah is a long-time cook and organic gardener having formerly run a large, acclaimed guest house and open-to-the public organic kitchen garden in the Normandy countryside. She is the head chef and instructor of the Gentle Gourmet dinner program and cooking school. Deborah created the Delectable Garden Tours in France and is president of the Paris Vegan Day festival.
Alexander, a Sorbonne art history and cultural management major, will be co-managing the b&b as of Autumn 2010 . He prepares and conducts guided visits to all the current art exhibitions, cultural tours of the various areas of Paris as well as the Delectable Garden tours. He also organizes our French and English eco-food talks about all the motivating factors of a vegan life-style.

Caroline will be managing the first Gentle Gourmet Restaurant and Delicatessen which opens in winter 2011.
We are happy to welcome our new partner, Paul Farnhill, a UK-born Australian, to the Gentle Goumet adventure.
